Fort O is Fast Growing

Fort Oglethorpe was the fastest growing city in the area during the 2000-2009 decade with a 42.2% change in population.
Dave Flessner with the Chattanooga Times reports that Fort Oglethorpe is the fastest growing city in the area (based on initial U.S. Census data).  The city's population grew 42.2% during the 2000-2009 decade.  Chattanooga grew by 10.2% and gained ground on Knoxville's seat as the third largest city in Tennessee.

Growth of other Northwest Georgia cities in the Chattanooga MSA:

Trenton - 21.1%
Ringgold - 17.7%
Chickamauga - 16.7%
LaFayette - 12.3%
